Akers Mill Trail

About the Akers Mill Trail

The Akers Mill Trail is the brainchild of the Cumberland Community Improvement District. The trail is split into two different sections, the eastern and the western segments, which are tied together by the Rottenwood Creek Trail.

The western portion of the Akers Mill Trail connects directly to the Silver Comet Connector. Pedestrian lights and street furniture create a friendly atmosphere for walkers and cyclists alike as they wind through the heart of Cumberland.

Attractions on the western portion of the trail include Cumberland Mall, the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, restaurants, shopping and the Cobb Galleria Convention Centre.

The eastern portion of the trail intersects with the Bob Callan Trail, which provides a southern connection on a paved trail that meanders through the contoured banks of the Rottenwood Creek and provides access to the CRNRA’s Palisades Trailhead at Paces Mill.
